The Springhead is the idyllic venue for your wedding reception.
Located at the heart of the charming Dorset village of Sutton Poyntz, quietly tucked away beneath the chalk downs, The Springhead is a mile from the World Heritage Jurassic Coast, and only 3 1/2 miles north-east of Weymouth.
This is an unrivalled location for your wedding reception, with the River Jordan running sedately by, and the ducks paddling happily on the millpond. Our marquee in the garden enjoys unrivalled views of the valley and downs, with the chalk carving of the White Horse on the hillside, depicting George III on his mount, during one of his many visits to his favourite holiday destination.

The marquee in the garden, and the pub and restaurant, are available for other private events, such as Christenings, barbeques and hog Roasts, anniversaries, birthday parties, children's parties and corporate events.
At The Springhead we host many other events during the year including Theme Nights and Dinners, Folk Music Festivals and Barn Dances in the marquee. Sutton Poyntz village also hosts the biannual Victorian Street Fare, our annual Scarecrow display, the Carol Service around the Christmas Tree, followed by baptisms conducted in the River Jordan.
